Project:                                  Pfizer Building 20

Consulting Engineer:           TKG Consulting Engineers

General Contractor:              DPR Construction

Mechanical Contractor:        Pacific Rim Mechanical

Scope of Work:

CMS worked closely with DPR Construction and TKG Consulting Engineers to design the 1500 ton central plant, 250,000 CFM of custom central station air handling systems, and 250,000 CFM of high discharge velocity exhaust air systems.

In the central plant design, we utilized the York Centrifugal Chiller with integrated variable frequency drives to provide Pfizer with excellent full-load and part-load performance.

For the air handling system design, we used the custom capabilities of Energy Labs, Inc. to design a space efficient and energy efficient system.  Utilizing direct drive plug fans with variable frequency drives, we were able to choose extremely efficient fans and provide excellent acoustic performance.

The lab exhaust systems were designed with safety and performance in mind.  Utilizing Strobic Exhaust Fan technology, we were able to design and install a system that was both safe and energy efficient.
